Multilingual Poetry Symposium: On the fourth day
of the weeklong programme organized to commemorate the 283rd Prithivi
Birth Anniversary and National Unity Day, Royal Nepal Academy organized
a multilingual poetry symposium in which poems written in fourteen
different languages of Nepal were recited.
Speaking as the Chief Guest, Poet Laureate Madhav Prasad Ghimire
said that poetry is possible in all the numerous languages of our
country and that such poetry should embrace the special components
of the language in which it is written. This will contribute to
the growth of that language.

Tripathi said that it was the duty of all Nepalis, despite the caste
or ethnic group they belonged to, to work together to translate
Prithivi Narayan's dream into reality.
Poet Bairagi Kainla said that it was the duty of each Nepali to
protect this garden of various ethnic groups that Nepal is. Academician
