    Academy Awards and Decoration
    Royal Nepal Academy confers awards and honors to writers for their significant contribution to Nepali language, literature, culture, art and knowledge.
  • PRITHIVI PRAGYÃ PURASKAR
  • is instituted in honour of His Late Majesty King Prithivi Narayan Shah. It is awarded every fifth year to a Nepali creative genius and scholar. The amount of this award is Rs. 2,00,000.00. The following writers have received this award up to now :

  • TRIBHUVAN PRAGYÃ PURASKAR
  • is instituted in honour of His Late Majesty King Tribhuvan Bir Bikram Shah Dev. In the beginning it was awarded every year, but from 1974 onward, it is awarded every third year to an eminent poet, writer or scholar. The amount of this award is Rs. 1,50,000.00. Up to now the following writers have received this award :

(A provision for permanent fund is under consideration.) Up to now the following persons have received this award :

  • PASANG LHAMU PRAGYÃ PURASKAR
